Me & Bill Lowen

Last month I was lucky enough to go fishing with my longtime friend Professional BASS angler Bill Lowen.  He had saved time in his busy schedule to take me to one of his honey holes.  Bill Arrived early to pick me up in his fully decked out Ford Excursion and fully wrapped Skeeter bass boat.  The accessories that were on the boat were unbelievable.  Bill said the weather was questionable, and that I should bring my outerwear, just in case.  We left in a hurry and arrived at the lake, with the bad weather already behind us.  We immediately took to casting the banks and hitting all the cover we could find in the water.  The many different brands of baits and lures used that day were amazing.  The Pro’s have so many you can’t even count them all.  Needless to say Bill had his first five fish before I had any.  If any of you have ever been fortunate enough to be able to watch and participate in an activity with a professional, it’s amazing to watch.  The technique and knowledge is truly awesome. All the expertise from the way the boat was run to the casting and choice of baits was a sight to behold.  I learned a lot that day.  Many of these lessons I hope to pass on to my children when I take them on fishing or boating trips.  Congratulations to all professionals in any type of sport.  You are the without a doubt the best of the best. Ernie TaylorCarhartt Rain Coat
