I found out the hard way what low maintenance on a pair of boots gets you. I was climbing up the ladder last sunday after it had snowed and rained just a little bit, my Red Wing footwear had never failed me before, so I started climbing to put up our lovely blowup Santa on the roof (just to out-do the neighbors once again!) and I started to slip, a little shook up I regained my balance, readjusted my Carhartt clothing and started going up once again. By the time I had reached the roof, and setup the santa I was friged, so I hurried to the ladder, drove by the soft cookies baking in the oven and the warmth of the open fire. As luck would have it as a I scurried across the frozen roof, and slipped. I completley lost all footing and fell straight to the bushes.

Don’t worry though, no harm done but a few bruises and scratches, oh and a broken pair of shoes!
