Memorial Day

This memorial day I hope to spend all day outside. I have been procrastinating on some house maintenance I know I have to take care of soon. I decided that my plan for today was to clean the gutters, weed the yard and cut down a tree that had been blowing leaves persistently into the pool. It didn’t seem like a long list, but I was fully aware of how much hard labor it would be.

I knew I needed specific tools for the job and a couple of safety things to make sure everything went smoothly. First for the yard I bought a pair of nice pigskin work gloves. Looking through my closet I realized that my Carhartt bibs and coveralls were not only worn and ratty but they had seem to shrunk.. it surely couldn’t be that I had gained 20 pounds from the winter before.

Despite that my cash flow was a little tight these days, I knew the steel toe footwear logger boots, gloves and bibs were all necessary to get the work done the right way. A small investment into something that I know will last years to come!
