Iron Ranger

A friend of mine told me that Red Wing Boot company started making the Iron Ranger boot  again. This had been one of the best selling longest lasting bots they ever made.  Originally designed in the 1950’s for the workers in the iron mines north of Red Wing Minnesota.  This area was known as the Mesabi Iron Range. This is the boot that kept the miners going, while they were the main source of iron for most of the American steel companies of the era.  I was pleasantly surprised to hear this because it was the same style boot that my grandfather and father wore.  I couldn’t help but to purchase a pair and try them out myself.  The craftsmanship is unreal.  The fit and sturdiness is like no other boot I have worn.  It’s nice to be able to get a quality, union made, work boot.  I’m betting this thing will wear like its name “Iron”.
